Under the close supervision of the CTO—who brings over 15 years of international experience, notably at Facebook and PayPal—you will have the opportunity to take part in exciting missions:

You will actively contribute to the development of research programs focused on constraint-based management and decision support for energy systems.

You will help establish a research roadmap aligned with the company’s strategic direction.

You will collaborate with various national and international stakeholders—after conducting a state-of-the-art analysis—in building Sparklin’s research projects, using a methodology that aims to develop its technological expertise and strengthen its presence in the market.

You will play a key role in supporting and coordinating research programs.

You will adopt a “patent-first” mindset and implement intellectual property management processes.
Profile required
You are a recent PhD graduate specializing in artificial intelligence, energy, or environmental sciences, and you are looking for a first position within a team committed to supporting the energy transition.
During your doctoral research, you developed strong expertise in:

Knowledge extraction from large-scale datasets using automated or semi-automated methods

Data aggregation and quality assessment from heterogeneous sources

Designing decision-support tools for managing complex systems and multi-criteria problem-solving
Technical skills

Programming languages: We are looking for proficiency in C, C++, Rust, TypeScript, and Python

Modeling languages and solvers: Experience with OR-Tools, MinZinc, Choco Solver, PyCSP, or similar constraint programming frameworks is highly valued

Conditions of employment

Contract: Permanent (CDI), 35 hours per week

Location: Nantes – Eraudière district
