DevOps Engineer Apprentice – Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Missions

Join our dynamic team of “Sparklers” at Sparklin, a fast-growing software company specializing in IoT and electric mobility.

Under the attentive and supportive guidance of our CTO, who brings over 15 years of international experience at companies like Facebook and PayPal, you’ll be involved in exciting and meaningful projects, including:

​

  • Designing and maintaining a robust and scalable cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on using Docker for application containerization

​

  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate infrastructure deployment, management, and scaling

​

  • Collaborating with development teams to integrate CI/CD processes and ensure fast, reliable application delivery

​

  • Participating in performance optimization, monitoring, and resource management while ensuring system security and availability

Profile Sought

You are currently enrolled in a computer engineering program and have a strong interest in energy and environmental issues. You are looking for a hands-on experience within a team committed to supporting the energy transition.

​

Through previous internships or academic projects, you’ve developed skills in software development, with a particular focus on DevOps, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of Linux system administration

​

  • Experience with Docker and containerized application environments

​

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi

​

  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

​

  • Good command of Git and version control workflows

​

  • Awareness of cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and interest in building scalable infrastructures

​

  • Understanding of network basics, security best practices, and monitoring tools is a plus

​

  • Comfortable working in an agile and collaborative environment

Conditions of employment

  • 📄 Contract: Work-study (apprenticeship)

  • 👥 Development team: 3–4 people

  • 🕒 Duration: 1 year

  • 🏠 Remote work: 1 day per week possible

  • 💻 Equipment: Laptop provided
