GNKGO group takes control of Nantais Sparklin

Nantes , April 2024. The GNKGO group announces the acquisition of a majority stake of 80% in the company Sparklin, a Nantes start-up specializing in intelligent charge management for electric vehicles. On this occasion, the Nantes player TMG, an expert in cybersecurity and already having a foot in Sparklin, confirms its commitment and also increases its stake to 10%, the remainder still being held by the historical shareholders. Better known by its subsidiary 4MOD Technology, GNKGO intends to accelerate its growth in the provision of solutions with an environmental impact. Sparklin has in fact developed a secure platform and a product offering dedicated to the fair charging of electric vehicles. This is mainly aimed at the business market, communities or even home charging. Its solutions are designed to preserve both the integrity of the electricity grid and buildings, by offering charging adapted to user needs.

Laurent Stéphan, President GNKGO : "Thanks to this acquisition, the group is gaining a foothold in the smart city market. Our strong commitment to environmental frugality via digital technologies and the adaptation of uses naturally led us to look at the energy market. I don't see how we could push a transition from mobility to electric energy if the equipment and infrastructure do not respect the fundamental principles. Sparklin claims the ubiquity and sobriety of electric charging by stimulating a responsible attitude from users. This is what convinced us in this project, the implementation of a secure, sovereign and sustainable hardware and software platform."

Alain Ghanimé, President of TMG : "Coming from the telecom and multimedia market, we are pleased to confirm our investment in Sparklin to enable the company to become a world leader in secure and sovereign electric vehicle charging. Thanks to our historical locations on all continents, our commitment remains the same: continuity of service."
